TEDx Kalamalka Lake started in 2025, a vibrant platform dedicated to hosting engaging TEDx events in the North Okanagan. Our inaugural event was a modest event at the Coldstream Community Hall. The positive feedback from that event kept us going. Our mission is to foster innovative ideas and stimulate community engagement through impactful talks and presentations. We believe in the power of storytelling and the exchange of ideas to inspire individuals and strengthen our community. Each event showcases diverse speakers who share their insights, experiences, and passion, creating a unique space for learning and connection.

Philipp Gruner
Founder and Curator
Philipp is the visionary behind TEDx Kalamalka Lake, with a passion for community building and the dissemination of transformative ideas. With years of experience in a huge variety of industries and leadership, Philipp strives to create an inclusive, educational and inspiring platform for speakers and attendees alike.
Amelia Sirianni
Production Director
Originally from Vernon, BC, Amelia spent 14 years in Toronto honing her craft as a professional musical theatre actor and has had the privilege of performing on stages across North America as well as in film and television. Amelia went back to her entrepreneurial roots - producing events, project management and facilitating theatrical workshops. She is also the co-owner of Ghost Tours of Vernon. Connecting to the community through engaging storytelling is at the heart of all her work.
